Defense industry

Today, the countries with the most developed defense industry are those that are both economically developed and strategically located due to their political position, such as Israel and the United States. After the proclamation of the republic, with the recovery process of the economy, our country did not have a defense industry and generally procured the tools and equipment needed in this field from other countries. However, with the establishment of ASELSAN, the basic needs were met at first. In the current conditions, it got rid of foreign dependency for the production of the most basic defense requirements such as tanks, weapons, aircraft, helicopters, and unmanned aerial vehicles and started to produce its own defense equipment.
